Léonce is leaving for his day and informs Edna about. It meeting with her for lunch. He has planche to look “at The new fixture for the library”(Chopin,pg.89).Edna greatly disagrees but her opinion is not mater to him. He comments on how she needs to start taking care of herself because she “was usually pale and very quiet”(Chopin,pg.89). As he leaves she goes to look out the window and sees all the different things going outside as well as her children being followed by the quadroon. She leaves as well after she has looked from some sketches and goes to the Ratignolles’. That she spent some time with Mdm.R. Both women talk about Edna’s talent in art as well as should spend more time on it. Edna decides to give some of her sketches as a gift to Mdm. R. She joins them for lunch. Durning this time with them she becomes very upset. The way that their relationship is so different from her own that it causes her to feel upset and unhappy. So after she leaves home “vaguely wondered what she meant by ‘life’s delirium’ ” (Chopin,pg.94).
