Edna finally hosts her great party which turns out to be a small dinner with friends. There is a total of about 9 guests, herself making the 10.Edna has brought all these fancy and comfy chairs for her guest. She has a great dinner and plenty of drinks.  Mdm Lebrun isn’t able to show up and neither is Mdm Ratignolle who is about to go into labour. To Edna’s distaste, he sings the same song Robert had sung to her in the summer. This is a trigger to all of the emotions hidden deep in her. She pleases and demands him to stop. After this disaster, everyone that was left finds a quick way out to leave for their home. Victor is one of the last to leave, he asks Arobin who stays back after his departure.
