ch 32

Mr. Pontellier at no point approves of Edna’s decision to move. The scandal, and what will the people say when she moves, the effect that it can cause on his business. He quickly acts upon making sure that the name in society stays intact. He sends the letter to his wife stating all his anger and disagreement. He also makes sure the newspapers put out that the house is being remodelled and that he and his wife will soon be travelling. Edna doesn’t do much to change his decision or what is said she just goes with it.

After the news is out she goes and visits her boys, who are with their grandmother. The boys have an incredible time being away from the city and being with the animals. Durning this time Edna acts like an actual caring and loving mother. She is so delighted to be with them and do all things thing with them. She goes fishing, looks at the animals, spends bonding time with them, ect. She leaves back to the city and feels sad to leave them. As soon as she’s in the city the thought of them vanishes and she’s alone.
